Newell Ind. MEG ST Memory Expansion

I picked this card up on eBay this past week simply because it looked interesting.  You can set it up as either a 2MB or a 4MB card.  It didn't come with installation instructions, but I found a copy on archive.org.

 

Did anyone here ever use this card or have any experience with it back in the day?  I doubt I'll use it, I think a marpat upgrade would be an easier install.

I didn´t this from Newell, since we´ve several other companies here in Europe which had offer similar expansions like this.

 

From a today´s view, these ones CAN force a lot of trouble, because you have a big extrea PCB flying around. Mostly no real fixing options are there. I wouldn´t recommand these.

Yes, I'm not installing it.  It's just a curiosity.

 

I have ordered a 4MB memory upgrade from Exxos though, will install it in my 520ST.
