bluejay
I burnt a fuse and cap on my VIC a while ago when I forgot to turn my VIC-20 off while connecting it to my 1702. The capacitor that blew is C58, which I replaced with a .47uf 50v monolithic ceramic capacitor and the fuse a 3.15A 250v fuse which is for 3DO FZ-1s but matches the specs for the 2 prong VIC. However, the thing still won't power up, no power LED, no nothing. I checked the power supply with my multimeter and it outputs 0vac. Presuming that's not supposed to happen, the VIC should be perfect, and it every part I can see looks totally fine, no bulging caps, no blown ceramic caps, no corrosion or broken traces. But is there a part that might have been fried with 5v being fed into the A/V port? Thanks!
