FS: Atari 800XL with S-Video/Dual audio mod, ICD Rambo XL, SIO2PC...more! **SOLD**

Recommended Posts

Next up for grabs is my really nice Atari 800XL computer. It has been professionally modded for S-Video output (which looks night and day better than composite!) and dual mono audio. It also has an original ICD Rambo XL (256K) installed. All memory has been tested (both the internal ram with the integrated memory test and the Rambo using an extended memory test software and everything is fine. Slight yellowing on the back, but overall this machine is in really great shape. The keyboard works perfectly (all keys tested). There is a hole drilled in the casing next to the SIO port (see picture) that has nothing. I am not the original owner of this computer. The original owner had some sort of switch there previously to my understanding. Not a big deal but noteworthy to add.

It also includes a modern power supply from The Brewing Academy which works great and will not fry your machine :) And, it includes the following:

One set of s-video and audio cables

SIO2PC from Atarimax w/serial cable (not pictured but included) and official Atari SIO cable - This needs to be connected to a COM port (or a USB to COM Port adapter) in order to use it. The device is older, but works perfectly nonetheless. I just tested it with my Atarimax APE software and it works as expected.

One original Atari controller in superb shape

One Donkey Kong Jr. cart (tested and works)

So, a nice little set to get you started. $140 shipped takes this (USA only)

PM!

Thank you for the kind words. Yep, a whole lot cheaper....and most importantly the ram was properly tested. I recall getting a few of these on the past from ebay and they had bad memory. Most of those sellers do not care to test them and just want to make a quick buck. I am only looking to make what I think its worth. I just do not have the room for it currently.
