As a matter of fact, I have found that programming books written in the 80's and early 90's were of much better quality than most of the trash I find today. As a matter of fact, I have completely stopped purchasing programming-related books online, particularly Amazon, because I cannot really browse the book and judge its content. I only go to brick and mortar book stores for this. I'm with you on that. I just had too many 3D books, most of them picked up 50% off at The Strand (where all the review copies went to find new homes). Maybe I didn't judge the quality of that one correctly. Don't worry, I still have an enormous number of books.
