djrodderz
Hello guys Just wondering the value on these items as part of a bulk buy I obtained recently. I know the story behind the Giana Sisters and am going to put it in a new case and display... just wondering on info on the others and what I should sell on for? Thanks in advance Edited May 2, 2020 by djrodderz
djrodderz
Might keep this too. This is awesome
carlsson
Try to see if you can clean up the Great Giana Sisters case instead of replacing it, as I believe a different case would lower its value unless you can find an identical match so nobody else can tell. Spider and the Fly (disk version) recently sold on eBay for £187 after a two player bid race. Third highest was £111. Deus Ex Machina has for a while been for sale on eBay, starting at BIN £75, reduced to £65 and now down to BIN £61. I would expect it to be reduced further over time before it meets a buyer, even if it is the only copy for sale. Spelunker is harder to find, but just because it doesn't exist on the market isn't the same as worth a lot.
djrodderz
Thank you Carlsson. You honestly reckon the case style etc will matter that much on a C64 game? I have a few other cases I could swop for in the job lot I bought. Apparently all Broderbund titles are hard to find on the Commodore 64 but I can’t really find that much on a google search. Appreciate your input
carlsson
Well, for a cassette game with an established market value at $100++ (haven't checked recently, might be $200+ today), I am sure collectors want it to be as authentic as possible including the case. Exactly how much it would affect the value is hard to tell but some would mark down on that.
djrodderz
Thanks. I've swapped it for a like-for-like original cassette double case.
