Also a question about NTSC PAL/ modified console?

high voltage

Recommended Posts

Got this a while back, some ebay win, it weighs 4 lb/1.8 kg. The coax has some sort of adapter, obviously not a original part. The console is not working at the moment.

Bottom of console it has US stickers, see picture. The two screws left and right along the red sticker look weird, like somebody else did that? Left side, square hole, there's a channel select switch.

Front of the console the woodgrain looks 'warped' along the left and right. how's this happening? Looks like the top doesn't fit onto the bottom or whatever is inside. Is this one of those UK 'heavy' units?

Any thoughts/answers appreciated, thanks

My PAL UK light sixer weight is also 1.8 Kg. And it has also 2 screws on both side, as they are blocking the aluminium case that protect the TIA motherboard.

It seems that top and bottom of console of this unit have not been correctly assembled after disassembly.

So it looks llike UK pal light sixer, and as long as it is not working, you need to read the TIA chips number to know it if is is a PAL or NTSC motherboard inside.

If it's a US console it may well be working OK. European TVs will not pick up the signal however.

I had to get my US 2600 modified for composite to get it working on my UK TV.
