And it is a good mix of popular and unpopular games. For the NEW players... it is a wise idea to download an emulator like Stella to be able to compete every week (Someone can post a link for Stella). Although, you don't have to post scores every week. There is really no commitment and we like to just have fun! Why we play? ~Most of us play for fun. Casual play and casual posting of scores. The HSC gets us try games out that we normally may never play. We compare notes/tips/tricks. ~Some play to compete for BIG high scores and to try and beat our own personal bests. ~ Some do a mix of both casual and sometimes BIG high scores. No matter why you play.... Have fun! Read over the rules. NO save states. Try some games and most of all..... Yes, HAVE FUN! I usually post something for the first few weeks, then life gets in the way. CapitanClassic Pac-man - 7329 Ms. Pac-man - 31690 I know that a pattern exists for the original PAC-man on VCS. If you follow it, you can continually collect all the dots each level, until the ghosts reach their full speed. For Ms. Pac-man, I started off with a great first two mazes, scoring perfect scores of all ghosts and fruit collected. Then I made a couple of dumb mistakes that cost me a couple of lives. I need to get a better keyboard. My keyboard has those infuriating small up/down keys for the arrows (or I need to remap the keys to a better location). Pac-Man gets so hard to the point where the ghosts get you even before you can reach a power pellet! Its like all 4 ghosts are Pinky. Ms. Pac-Man is definitely more fair, but still gets pretty hard because of Blinky. I’ll probably try to post better scores later.
