Hang on

I recently purchased hang on for the coleco. The controls for shifting up and down do not work. I will try this game out on my Adam soon. Does this have something to do with the particular console I have or can it be fixed.

button 2 to accelerate. up on control stick lowers gear , down raises to higher gear

 

and once going fast enough down to go from low to mid gear

 

and once going fast enough again down to go to high gear. top speed is around 300 km/h

I can shift in to hi but I cannot shift down once I am in high. And the level select on the title screen constantly changes form level 1 to 3

something wrong with your controller or the controller port then. It's not the game

I got the game running on my Adam just fine. Thank you for your help. My colecovision is obviously on the fritz.

How does that work in practice with the regular Coleco controllers? Does it feel better than, say, using the fire button to accelerate?

I meant fire button 2 to accelerate.

I get you now🙂 Do you like Hang On as a conversion? There aren't too many into-the-screen racing games on the CV. Unless you count The Fall Guy.
