5200 to TV via Receiver How?

Hi

I picked up a 5200 and I am trying to hook it to my TV via my audio receiver.

Is tried the RF to Coax adapter thinking my receiver had a coax connector. It doesn’t.

I tried finding a RF to composite or component or super vga or hdmi and I can’t find one.

I’m looking on amazon because it looks like the only place open these days.

I must be missing something.

Pleas help a newbie out :)

Thanks

Alex

If you have a VCR around, you can run the 5200 through the RF connector on the VCR; then connect the composite and L/R audio connectors from the VCR to your TV.

The better solution would be to get your 5200 A/V modded to add composite or S-video, then run that to your TV.

If your TV is too new to have legacy composite connections, you can buy a cheap $25 HDMI upscaler from Amazon, or spend $90 - $130 for something from RetroTink. You can spend quite a bit more still, but the benefits start dropping off dramatically the more you spend.

Personally, I installed a UAV video mod into my daily driver 5200 to get composite out. A couple weeks ago I also got a RetroTink 2X-Pro to upscale that to HDMI and I'm quite pleased with the results.
