FS: Mint Consolized lynx 2 mcwill fully recapped

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Edit:new lynx added

The console is in mint condition!!!! Really rare in such shape (no scratches on screen or shell , really new!, see pics )

The zener diode has been replaced

the mosfet has been replaced.

All capacitors have been replaced

 the control are perfect

you can play another 25 years with this one :)

Console with upgraded LCD screen (McWill, not chinese clone),
There is a scan lines mod , when you push backlight button, lynx show  an orginal display style (with scan line) .

See the incomparable difference between this screen and an original one in the photo bellow with desert strike(better all over: contrast, colours, refresh rate, viewing angles.).

Mcwill has been modified in order to be abble to adjust the brightness with the potentiometer (see pics)

A VGA out was installed in order to play on a computer screen or TV

I also modified and customized an original NES controller. “Start “ and “select“ buttons are now “pause “ and “option 1“

Edit: I tried some new button color for the gamepad (you can choose one of these color, this picture is just to see the different colour)

Any questions, more photos feel free to ask.

The modded lynx comes with :

an european DC adaptor or an american or a UK one (just ask), the modified NES controller, and VGA cable if needed  and stereo cable in order to have sound on TV

I sell it 400 euros plus shipping

Very very nice. Too bad you are in Europe and too bad I lack the funds right now!

Yeah this is amazing looking. The NES controller bit is sweet too, as the controls on the Lynx (not matter how much I want to love them) just feel odd :D Does sound just come out of the handheld then? Or can you inject it into a video signal I wonder?

No VGA cable is only for video, so the sound comes out the lynx.

Just tried out my bdoi Super Joypad McWill'd Lynx, and...it IS as amazing as it looks. The joypad completely changes Lynx gameplay (especially if you get finger fatigue), and I was inspired to pull out some old clunkers that I hadn't tried in a while. Krazy Ace is actually playable with the joypad! (the game still sucks, though). Louie is much more nimble in Scrapyard Dog! And at last, not nearly as many early deaths in Raiden!.

I haven't yet tried the VGA out option, but I'm spending tomorrow night with KlaxI've never liked holding the console in the vertical orientation while manipulating the Lynx's own pad, so this is going to be awesome.

Couldn't you take a 1/8" stereo cable out of the Lynx headphone jack to the 1/8" audio input jack usually near the VGA port of modern TVs with this feature/option to get sound through the TV?

This is what I’ve done before with my McWill’ed Lynx and it works great.

Yes of course you can. My mistake I meant that VGA does not have sound . But off course you can put sound on tv if you add a stereo cable male-male ;)
