Commodore PET - Programming Forum?

Recommended Posts

Not sure. There are a few FB groups but those are mainly for collectors and hardware faults. There also used to be some support at the Vintage Computer Forums, but again more technical than programming. For basics, the PET is not that much different than other Commodores so you might as well pop your questions here if you feel comfortable, at least in the mean time finding more PET programmers.

Hm.. good suggestion but the PET series and VIC-20 are not identical, in particular not when it comes to memory map and hardware details.

Actually there are quite a bunch of different PETs regarding motherboard version, memory size, BASIC version, video hardware, monitor size, number of columns, type of keyboard so there usually isn't one answer that will cover them all when you get advanced.

That is quite obvious. Still, you can find help for PETs there. There is also;

They say they work with everything from PETs to the Amiga, but it seems to be very PET oriented.

I'd think you can find some help in the Other systems section at Lemon 64 as well.

Best probably would be to raise your questions in one forum and if you don't get to resolve them in a matter of a few days, see if people elsewhere are more agile (or skilled). Despite the site is called AtariAge, clearly there are some folks here with knowledge of other systems as well, in particular in this subsection of the forum which is dedicated to Commodore 8-bit systems.
