That suspiciously looks like a hack of Haunted House.  :)

LOL, good catch! Although I did manage to create a (somewhat) acceptable sprite of Snake Plissken.

Very nice!  I'm sure someone could make this happen. :)

Hell I'd consider preordering that, I love Haunted House and that would look great next to my Texas Chainsaw and Halloween games. 👍

Made a couple more sprites. Cabbie and the Duke. Man, making sprites is difficult. I have a newfound respect for the PacManReds and Nathan Strums of the world :)

LOL. Can’t believe that was almost 10 years ago. I forgot all about that.

That mockup cartridge is absolutely gorgeous!  I would buy it just for that, even if the game sucked.   (which I’m sure it wouldn’t).

Edit: With games like CGE Adventures, Epic Adventure, Evil Magician II, and the Grinch game, I cant help but thinking of a particular programmer when I look at those mockup screenshots and sprites. Todd... cough... @Byte Knight ;-)

lol

I know!  crazy.  I really enjoyed seeing how you incorporated the programming limitations into the mockups.

I def thought that was one of the more interesting original ideas out there.

I knew next to nothing about how games were developed, as well as the limitations. I was hoping the idea would be compelling enough for someone to want to code. I knew I could never do it. I read that Idea Peddlers thread, and I didn't want to be another one of those "I have 1% of an idea, make the whole game for me" guys. I still have the printed box in my collection :)

Some more sprites (Brain, Maggie, and President). I'll admit, creating these is fun even if they're never used for anything!

Needed to make a fake manual, so I created a fake game to go with it!

You're going to have everything done but the actual programming of the game!  :D

As always! It was a fun exercise, regardless.

OK, who's programming this to make it real?  I mean, everything else is done!  ;)

Might use the playfield for blockades.

Might also change the health pack to an "E" so you can draw it will a missile or the ball.

Might be fun to borrow from Beyond Castle Wolfenstein, limit ammo, and require some stealth.  Berzerk set the bar for pure run and gun pretty high already.

Probably don't need to even actually draw bullets.  Muzzle flashes would suffice.

Too bad I'm so busy.  :(

Also, there's no way you get away with using that IP.  Probably better imagined as a zombie apocalypse in Chicago.
