FS: Partially working NOS Atari Jaguar controller

Recommended Posts

A while back I purchased a pair of new old stock Jaguar controllers. There were absolutely brand new. I have been using one and kept the other stored away in my cabinet. Today I decided to try it out just to make sure it worked (since I have never tested it until today assuming it did) and was surprised to find that a few buttons do not work. I have found the option button, # and * are not working. I am unsure about the other keypad buttons as I did not go as far as to test them. The D-Pad is perfect and the ABC buttons work fine. I only discovered the other buttons not working when trying to enter the options on Tempest 2000.

I opened the controllers and checked the PCB under a high powered magnifier and I see nothing at all wrong. I saw that the connector for the cable was a little "off" the board so I desoldered it, corrected it and resoldered it and cleaned the board with 99% isoprop. Still, those specific keypad buttons do not work. I just don't get it.

That said, I am done investing time with it. I have working controllers. So, I am offering this for $20 shipped to you, anywhere in the USA. Maybe you can fix it, or maybe you can use the parts. The controller is in brand new condition.

PM if you want it.
