Segataritensoftii #104 Posted June 9, 2009 I'd really like to have an Atari Lynx. It was an awesomely powerful system for it's day, and it would just be really cool to own. I'd also really like another GBA, since I lost mine. But only the original GBA. The SP is uncomfortable to hold and the Micro is too small. That, and I don't really care much about whether my system has a backlight or not. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there backlit mods for the original GBA on the market a while back? youki #109 Posted June 10, 2009 I saw an Amstrad GX4000 running at the weekend. It actually played better than I thought it would. Doesn't appear to have any homebrew for it (only Googled briefly). The Amstrad GX4000 hardware was very good in fact. It is exactly the same than CPC 464+ and CPC 6128+ (the "+" is really important it) . The hardware was quite impressive for a 8 bit. Unfortunally the machine cames to late , and not lot of support from editor. Only few very good game and the other were just simple port from existing standard CPC Games (no "+" here) and there were not good. i don't think there homebrew for the GX4000 , but i'm sure you will find some for CPC 6128+ . Gameboy controllers are too small rendering games like Pac-Man unplayable...Lynx is better in that respect.

JerryTerrifying #118 Posted June 11, 2009 I keep a .txt file of my console and handheld collection and at the bottom is the "Shit 2 git" section with the crap I still don't have. Most of this I could pass on and will only pick up if I see them cheap. Like the 32X I'd take for about $15 tops. The CDX is probably the only thing I REALLy want on that list. The Atari Jaguar and Commodore 64 will be taken off the list once I get them in the mail, but I'll wait till they're actually in my hands. I got the Jag for $30 on ebay, with all the wires and a controller and the C64 I just won today for $10 plus about $15 shipping. Not bad. The wait for the jag's been killing me...I won the auction on May 29th I think? It's killing me!!!!!! ApolloBoy #119 Posted June 11, 2009 A Japan SEGA Master system, I think it's called a MARK III Correct... But why would you want one? FM sound? Built-in rapid fire? 3-D glasses jack? Once you get a ToToTEK converter like the one below, you have what's probably the ultimate SMS setup (which happens to be what I use):
ApolloBoy #120 Posted June 11, 2009 Anyway, here's what I'm on the lookout for now: Atari 1040STFM (I might get one soon though) Commodore 128D (currently lusting after one of these) Japanese Sega Saturn (white model) Vectrex Sega Mark III TI-99/4A
DrLove0378 #121 Posted June 11, 2009 -- Neo Geo AES. Only titles I got so far are NAM-1975, Blue's Journey and Magician Lord (all common as dirt), but I kinda wanna play 'em. -- PSP. It has many exclusive titles which never got released for any other system. I picked up Gradius Collection (CIB) for $13 the other day, but now I'd like to be able to play it. Kinda hard to justify the $169 price tag, though. -- Pioneer LaserActive, and the Genesis and TurboGrafx-16 modules. Since I still own and use laserdiscs, that would be a perfect machine -- I could keep just that one hooked up instead of 3 separate machines, saving room for other consoles. As far as completing a console collection, I am after the INTV III, INTV Super Pro, and GTE-Sylvania Intellivision consoles. I currently have the I and II, the Radio Shack Tandyvision One, and the Sears Super Video Arcade. Hard to believe the Beeeeeee-Sevuhnteeen Baaaumber! console had 7 different iterations...
