To claim a bonus, post your final score in the current game thread anytime during the season. Feel free to post multiple times if your score improves as the season goes on. +5 season points will be awarded, up to 25, for every run/goal you score over the CPU. For example, if the final score is Player 3 and CPU 1 then points earned are calculated as (3 - 1) x 5 = 10. An additional 5 points per game will be awarded to the player who submits the highest score differential. The bonus for Golf will be +5 season points, up to 25, for each stroke under par and an additional 5 for the best score. Baseball Rules: Choose any team. Manual Soccer Rules: Choose any team Skill Level 1 Half Time 15 Manual Golf Rules: 1 Player Stroke Play Manual Remaining Black Box Season Titles: Devil World Donkey Kong 3 Excitebike Ice Climber Wrecking Crew Note: This may not be the play order. General HSC Season Rules: To participate, just post a score to the thread. Anyone can join in at any time. A picture or screenshot is encouraged when posting a score but not required. The season is 14 rounds long. Games will be posted on Sundays and run two weeks through Sunday at 11:59 PM CST. Do not exploit game glitches, take advantage of 1-up loops or intentionally die in order to replay a level. If "point pressing" is not specified in the game rules you should be moving forward in an attempt to complete/loop the game and not "camping" for points. No emulator save states, slow-mo, rewind, etc. No cheats, e.g. Konami code, Game Genie, etc. Turbo controllers are allowed. I really enjoy playing (tho it could use some music) but I keep finding myself wanting to nudge the table. My goal is to make it through and past the 100k-150k period where your flippers become invisible. I was surprised to read that in the manual. It just says "disappear" which made me first think it was ridiculous b/c you'd be dead in the water, but saw in a video that they're still functional ? New personal best on my first game today and I thought, wow getting the hang of the strategy, maybe it's not as much luck as I thought. Then I had a series of pretty bad games and had to reconsider, haha. It doesn't even have stereo RCA inputs. But before I could post about it I got lucky and completed the list just now Got 3 penguins in the slots one game (didn't last long, but it was cool!) and for the one above I flipped all the cards for a royal flush! Man was that a great run. It pops up the stopper between the bottom flippers, and if you can get the chick bumpers consistently, you really rack up the points. I went from 64k-96k during that period. Yesterday I managed to finally use the exit, but only the once so far. Which areas of the table are you guys having good or bad luck with? Yesterday I also managed to save Pauline (? instructions just say 'lady') twice during the same bonus round. The ball is so erratic there. Well I got the cards which gave me the middle guard. That allowed me to survive the invisible flippers. I also got the 777 on the top level but lost it after about 3 seconds. Once the ball starts bouncing around those three huge bumpers there's a good chance it will get thrown down the sides or between the flippers with nothing you can do about it.
