roots.genoa
I may be mistaken, but I was under the impression that Dr. Ports is a French guy called Pascal Bernard, who helped to release Fireworks Factory on ColecoVision. My only clue is that he was the one selling Wizard of Wor on Intellivision: http://www.gamotek.fr/ He may just be the 'publisher', but I find it weird. If this is a marketing ploy, it's genius. Well, I think that if this story has a brigth side, it is that both Spy Hunter and Dr Ports had a lot of public attention In the end this is what Spy Hunter and other ongoing projects need. Kai Magazine and Elektronite are working on a kick ass space game.... ? I have to write the manual for 'A Tale of Dragons and Swords' soon.... I wonder who is writing Spy Hunter as it is obviously not Dr. Ports.
Kiwi
Maybe Rev mastered IntyBASIC and made Spy Hunter, but still have trouble programming a VCR. I haven't peered through his bedroom window lately, so maybe that's for the best.

Well, to Oscar's credit, he made IntyBASIC something so accessible that it is probably easier than programming a VCR... If you dont like the next colored block you can kick it back up the screen,or save it on your paddle for the next move! It's a great and very addictive game.?
+JasonlikesINTV
What I didn't understand was at points it looked like they built up multiple bricks and dropped them at the same time, but only one showed up in the wall.

Each stages have an objective shown on screen. Such as make 5 Klax, which make 3-5 tiles in a row, column or diagonal match colors. Drop 100 tiles, diagonal Klax and so on. The levels get more difficult as the Klaxs on the top move faster. One thing that is over looked is the ability to pop the Klax back on the track above by pressing up.
wolfy62
Time Pilot for the Intellivision, please! We need a great flying non space shooter. Dr. Ports or anyone!??
Special Teams
Time Pilot seconded. Seems like a no-brainer for the disc. And IIRC you only need a fire button.
Bamse
I think spite limitations number and size (more size) would make a port of Time Pilot difficult.
mr_me
Eight sprites is enough for Time Pilot. Bullets can be done in background animation. And the intellivision version should be sixteen directions.
atari5200dude82
Yes time pilot would be cool for the intv. About Robin Hood or sir Lancelot from xonox for the intv?
artrag
I would use tiles also for enemies in formation, it should be easy to update tiles on fly to make them move smoothly until they move in swarm in a linear direction. It tricky part would be when tile enemies overlap with clouds. Edited November 10, 2020 by artrag
wolfy62
Dear Dr. Ports; are Omega Race,Fantasy or Klax coming our way this Holiday season? That would be fantastic!
