TT/MSTE Best Fan Flow Direction ??

Recommended Posts

I'm replacing the TT PSU fan with something much quieter and more efficient. But what would be the best direction for the air flow?

Cool air in from the back, and warm air moving out the front, or the other way around. Atari had it cool air in from the back, and warm air moving out the front, but that brings in lots of dust over those hot PSU parts.

Thoughts ??

Thanks

Thanks, Blowing out it will be. That make the most scene to me too.

I always use Noctua fans. They are the best units out there. I would recommend putting then in every MSTE/TT out there. Unless you really like jet engine sounds ;)

Thanks again everyone!!

Thanks for this topic. I once replaced the fans of my TT with more silent ones. But they don't seem to last long and they became noisy.

I didn't know the Noctua fans, I will try them !

For fans they are not cheap. But I have never had one get louder over time. They color is not 'Atari', but the performance is!

Good Luck!!
