Screen Problem while displaying characters

Hi Friends

 

I wanted to play a little on my vectrex but it didn't work normally

When the vectrex is 'cold' I switch on the vectrex, everything seems to be good but few seconds later, it's like a characters desintegration on the screen. The 3d part seems to be good.

Do you encouter this problem ? where could it come from ?

Someone on FB just fixed a similar issue by replacing the 6522 VIA.

Could be a lot of things. Definitely open it up and examine everything. Try pulling, cleaning the legs and reseating IC chips (if socketed) & look over all electrolytic capacitors, checking for leaking and/or bulging caps. Replacing integrator caps is also not a bad idea, which cleaned up my image a lot. Console5 also has other Vectrex parts and enhancements available (note - I have no affiliation w/them, they're just the best, all-in-one site to get parts to revive a broken Vectrex).
