First Spear
Hi all. Intellivision II has a shielded RCA cable going to an RCA-to-coax converter, plugged into TV antenna-in. The picture is garbled. Adding a signal booster is slightly stronger, but still garbled. Where is the best place to look for a "fix"? Thanks. IMBerzerk
You mention a converter... by that do you mean adaptor... Just a connection changer? Or do you have some kind of powered conversion box By the look of it the RF box on the Inty II board is having issues. I think there is a potentiometer you can adjust. Did you try that? If not....you might need to replace the little RF box

IMBerzerk
That adapter wouldn't cause the issue. Wiggle the cable as well. If you have an old cable, it will cause all kinds of issues. If the easy stuff doesn't fix it... then it's most likely the RF output box. Edited June 6, 2020 by IMBerzerk

IMBerzerk
Yes. Open the unit, and take a pic. I don't own an Intv2, but maybe we can see where the issue is. It definitely sounds like the RF Modulator. It's a small box that is for lack of better words ..the caboose of the whole processing train to get the signal to the TV. mr_me
Rf modulator should be ASTEC UM1285-8. Have you tested on another TV?
