TI-99/4A PEB Cable Splitter

Is there a box that would enclose the PEB Cable splitter to protect it?  I doubt it, but I will ask.  Does someone offer a 3D printed box with the cutouts already in place for the connectors?

I haven't seen a printed case for it yet.

 

I do have more of the boards on order now, so they will be back in stock soon.

I picked up a board for my needs a couple of weeks ago.  I've got a cable extender that is about 18" long for the firehose.  Will connecting the splitter at the end of this cable to go to two PEB'x be an issue, or does that splitter need to be at the console?

That configuration has never been tested--so I'm not sure if it will work. The only worries there are linked to the cable length--18 inches is about the maximum for an extension, and adding the three to four inches of traces on the splitter may be a bridge too far. It should have no issues when connected to a 12 inch extender cable though.
