DragonGrafx-16 #2 Posted June 10, 2020 I don't think most bother to translate shmups with story cause it's not really even necessary... I would still play it lol
cybercylon #3 Posted June 11, 2020 There isn't much text in the game to begin with. If it moves, shoot it. Okay... I do understand how it would be nice to know what they are saying to one another, but I don't think someone will probably make the effort to translate this one. It's basically just "Something is happening in this year. Go there and stop it" "Understood" and that's about it. It's been a while since I played it, though. The intro talks about time travel and stuff.
MrMaddog #5 Posted June 11, 2020 It's not worth looking for translation patches for PC Engine games... The ones that are out there only work for headered ROMs which are now impossible to find (Only No-Intro ROMS are out there). You're bettter off using RetroArch with it's auto-translation feature, though that still leaves the Japanese voice overs on CD-ROM games.
Newsdee #6 Posted June 13, 2020 Sometimes there are FAQs online that translate the dialogue.

Two, I just downloaded a complete set for Turbo EverDrive and they all have headers. Three.. haha did NOT know that about RetroArch.
