What is the closest TI game to match this TRS-80 game?

One of my all-time favorite TRS-80 games is shown in the video below.  It's a great play, even with it's blocky graphics.  I don't know if this was an original concept, or borrowed from an arcade type game of the era.

Do any of you recognize a game from another platform that resembles this one?  Maybe it's already available on the TI and I've simply overlooked it.

I like that a good number of the TRS-80 games could translate over into the TI's multi-color mode.

Getting a major "Threshold" vibe.  This was a game on the Colecovision.  So if it can be done on that, it can be done on the TI (given the same video chip used on both machines).

I think Astro Fighter by Data East would fit the bill here. There's also a mothership that you battle after a few waves ,where I think you refuel.

That Lunar Rescue game looks a lot like Meteor Mission II for the TRS-80.  That was another fun one to play.

 

 

Now I feel compelled to remove my KODI SD card out of the RPi in the other room and replace it with the TRS-80 emulator for few minutes.
