Yeah, I would suggest editing both posts David and Joe to remove that address. I will calculate shipping for you David.

Just think of it as a bat signal. :D

See? I edited my post. I'm leaving yours alone, though, just in case someone needs to visit me and drop off that Commodore 65 that I feel that I'm owed.

I now CPUWIZ was looking for one of these a while back.  Don't know if he ever found one or not.

Just kidding! I'm going to put the 10000 it would cost to get one into the kids' RESP account. Yes, it's less fun, but I'll get to nag them about it for years. I saw a C65 in action in Toronto last December at the TPUG show, and honestly had more fun with the PET.

I got one of those I am installing a Bluetooth adapter into :)

I used to use a Cell 2 Jack with this one. Neat device...although a bit pricey for what it does.

That is what I use.  I picked mine up for about $20 each.  Cobra makes (or made) a similar device.

Well I paid for one, so...

They're actually great phones if you still maintain a landline. I am really not a fan of modern digital units, as the receivers are not built for lengthy conversations when held to the hear, and speakerphone quality is spotty. This receiver looks like it's perfect for cradling, and I still have a couple of acoustic modems I can try it out with. Plus, my living room ended up as this mid-century homage, so this will certainly fit in with the decor.

Rotary phones can be very expensive, especially if they're functional antiques. Even those crappy '80s reproductions have gone up in value, even though I find the quality to be lacking. I have a retrofitted AT&T candlestick from the '20s, and it's a lot of fun to look at, but a bit of a pain to use.

Are these actually worth money? What about rotary phones? I still have a few...

Actually, yes. Some a lot of money. There are collectors out there. And, the color is a huge factor. Red phones typically only sold to commercial envirnoments (offices, etc) as emergency phones. This phone was just that. It came from my company's "help" phone to immediately contact security in the early days.

I was helping someone recently clear a house after her sister passed. She told me I could take whatever as it was all getting tossed. I saw a black rotary (probably 50's-60's) and went for it first. But no, she said "however the phone is mine!" and it was the only item I could not take!

Ha! Had no idea. I still use a rotary phone...it's not my main phone of course but it's functional and still in use (basement phone)

I was looking for a rotary and I found the perfect one.  Still trying to get the encoder to connect to my micro and properly decode the pulse.

Cheers for thinking of me.

I grew up with a snot green rotary phone in the house. Our only phone.

My grandmother got sick and tired of us running up the bills (when it used to cost an arm and a leg to call outside of your county!) and put one of those rotary locks on the phone that would not allow it to move beyond the finger stopper. Well, it didn't take me long to discover that tapping the hang up button as many times as a number was would perform the same function as the pulse dial...and I was still able to call people. She couldn't figure out how I was doing it ;)

Ha, I totally remember that 70s green color. Entire kitchens, cars and anything you could imagine had it  for a few years there :) Here is mine...

Yes! Mine was exactly the same phone, only that green color I spoke of. These phones are great. The ringer on ours was ridiculous. I could be swimming with the neighbors kids two houses down in their backyard and hear this phone clear as day from inside of my living room!

I bet you my kids would have no idea how to use it ;)

Do kids even know what a dial tone is these days?

I never even thought of that... we still use land lines at my house but most kids don't have one anymore.

What I hate about cell phones is they are not very satisfying to hang up after an argument. Nothing beats jamming that handle down on the receiver and storming off. Just doesn't have the same feeling with a cell phone haha

I got a black rotary from the 60's. Works great and sits on the bar next to my "White House Phone".

The ring on the old rotary will wake up the dead!

Exactly! I've been thinking about buying from this site for years (and especially that Automatic Electric 880 speakerphone), but they always seem to be sold out of red ones.
