Game Information

Game Name: Coco and the Evil Robots

Released by: Robin Gravel 2020 . 

Settings: Turn it on & play

CV HSC High Score: First time playing Coco and the Evil Robots in the CV HSC.

Ho no! Grostesteing has stolen all treasures from Village Coco museum. 

It's up to you, Coco, to retrieve all of them.

At title screen, press left or right button to start.

In a maze, your objective is to take treasures by avoiding robots, traps and Grostesteing himself.

Once a treasure is taken, an other one appears somewhere in the maze.

Grostesteing has a complexe system in his base to prevent Coco to take all treasures at the same place.

Once 9 treasures are taken, Coco goes to the next level.

If Coco hit robots, trap or Grostesteing, he loses one life.

Once all lives are lost, it's over.

Sometimes, a bonus appears. Take it but it's not necessary to complete a level.

Coco and the Evil Robots Bonus Points: Play the game & post a score= +3

Score 500= +2, Score 1,000=  +3, Score 2,000= +4, Score 3,000=  +5, Score 4,000= +7, Score 7,500= +10, Score 15,000 & up= +12?

Break or set a new CV HSC High Score= +10

 

Round Ends: Thursday July 2nd at 12pm(PST) 3pm (EST)

 

Everyone who posts a score throughout the season will be entered into a drawing at seasons end for a special prize!

I don't have any ideas if my game works fine on real machine.

 

Nobody reported this problem when I released it.

2,600 pts.  I like this game!  I was surprised at how quickly the screen disappears after a game over, but it at least displays your high score when you play again (H).  I do have a question, however.  When you lose a life, you need to get all nine treasures again instead of just how few were remaining at the time you lost your life.  Was that deliberate on your part?  Not a complaint, just an observation.

That's happened when you write your own games.

 

Only put anything you like the most without any constrains. 

 

Yeah. Once you lost a life, you need to take 9 treasures again.

 

I take note any comments in case I would make a sequel.

I am not sure if it was actually a problem with the game or not. That day I actually had multiple homebrews freeze up on me. If it happens again I will try to get details/screenshots/pictures

 

Might try it on my ColecoVision as well.

I'm getting this glitch playing with BlueMSX on both my computer and a modified SNES mini...and also on my ADAM playing the rom on the AtariMax cartridge....seems to play OK on ColEm though. It happens probably after 3-5 minutes of playing and you can't move Coco through the blue area. If you die and the screen resets, it's normal, but then it happens again after playing a little while.

Same thing happens on the Phoenix.
