polyex #1 Posted July 6, 2020 Anyone have success running any cart images from Mame? Do you have a link to those images? Everyone I have and tried just gives me a message saying that it's an invalid image and an internal error.
ti99iuc #2 Posted July 6, 2020 Hello, if you want, follow this link, over the tutorial for the installation and configuration of MAME, scrolling the page at the bottom you will also find the software needed http://www.ti99iuc.it/web/index.php?pageid=homepage&artid=196

Everyone I have and tried just gives me a message saying that it's an invalid image and an internal error. All cart images are on our server https://ftp.whtech.com/Cartridges/MAME/ MAME uses zip cartridge format and RPK cartridge format, but no bin format.
hloberg #4 Posted July 6, 2020 from: https://ti99resources.wordpress.com/ https://drive.google.com/file/d/1o1qAQWlrSlkmIsx3ISe0Oz-8kUetuusI/view download the link. it's everything you need to get MAME running with TI-99 including the batch files to attach to cartridges. just add MAME. also check out the section in software under MAME which has links to MAME and some tutorials.
dgrissom #5 Posted July 6, 2020 I am enjoying using Mame on Raspberry PI 4. I run my system using scripts. It's pretty slick. Is there a comprehensive document that shows command line information? I've been using the supplied scripts as templates, however, I want to know more.

polyex #8 Posted October 6, 2020 (edited) I figured out you need to add the speech module by adding a PEB first and then add the speech module to the PEB. Edited October 6, 2020 by polyex

What the hell am I doing wrong? It must be something simple but I can't figure it out. I have the peb connected, the TI disk controller and 3 drives...but it simply gives me a error I/O Error 6 I have it set up. ioport> PEB ioport peb slot 2> speech ioport peb slot 3> tifdc ioport peb slot tifdc:0 > 525 dd ioport peb slot tifdc:1 > 525 dd ioport peb slot tifdc:2 > 525 dd What am I doing wrong? mizapf #10 Posted October 16, 2020 The older MESS 0.140 is, I can say, another piece of software compared to the current MAME 0.225. The only advice I can give you is to upgrade to the recent release. For instance, none of the path specifications will work on MESS 0.140.

Yes, but this is a newer release version that I set up with the instructions and downloads from http://www.ti99iuc.it/web/index.php?pageid=148&artid=196#.X4niCI7Yrrd
mizapf #12 Posted October 16, 2020 Could you post a dsk image that fails with your MAME installation?

mizapf #14 Posted October 16, 2020 This is a DSDD disk, and you tried to read it with a TI FDC. Please use another controller.

I am sorry about these questions, I am so confused. I just don't know what I am doing...learning is fun and frustrating.
mizapf #18 Posted October 16, 2020 No, it's just a choice - as with your real TI and PEB. Use HFDC or BwG.
