mikem
I have a Tandy 4825 SX and I’m trying to figure out the fastest CPU it can handle. It’s a 486 SX 25Mhz and has a removable processor. I found someone who installed a DX4 75Mhz chip, so I know it can go that high. But I’d like to install a 100Mhz or even an AMD 5x86-P75 which is 133Mhz on a 33MHz FSB. But I have no idea if the Tandy can do 33MHz FSB. There aren’t any switches for bus speed, only to tell it if an SX or DX/DX2 chip is installed. The BIOS has a “Bus Speed” setting, but the options are “Standard” and “Enhanced”, so no idea what that means. Anyone familiar with this beast? Thanks!
