"Sleeper" TI-Games (already in .BIN format)

Recommended Posts

What are some really good sleeper games for the TI?  I'm not the biggest gamer on the planet, but I'll be getting away for a few days and want to try some "different but good" things.

So, any suggestions of what cartridge images I should put in the FG99 for the trip?   Oh, and OLDCS1, no need to mention Zero Zap!   Due to space limitations I'll not be taking a joystick, trackball or PC keyboard.

Do you have a link for the Connect Four .BIN?  I could not readily find it.

Can folks not named OLD CS1 suggest Zero Zap? :D

PHM3038G.BIN

I have a logical problem with this file.

...I'm fairly certain this game is on a single GROM.

Yet, the file is 16k. When I edited it down to size, it wouldn't work!

It seems to work fine - AND - it's fun to play!  👍 THANKS!

This is Connect Four, as found in the MAME cartridge connect4.zip. It is a GROM 4, located at 8000-97FF.

The file here probably has the loader and code added to make the program run out of the 32K space. . .

Are you looking to try out simple games or games you haven't heard of or....?   Tunnels of doom has many options and you can choose difficulty level, single floor up to 10, and you can even input your character name as "OMEGA-TI". All CAPS, of course ;)

Yeah, simple and fun games that do not take forever to finish.  I only have a few days, and I also have to cram in a video, a little XB programming, along with my daytime holiday activities.

I dunno...

I just ran it on "real iron" w/o 32k.:-o

...Hmm, maybe this was done  ...to somehow pad the missing GROM3.:ponder:

Interesting ... this is a section of the GROM3 in your 16K dump. Can anyone make a sense of "Firespin.bin"?

Looks like this module was dumped with V9T9.  The non-existant groms were filled by random contents of your PC's memory in the transfer process.

This is overdumped (250 excess bytes). The first 6144 bytes of your dump match the file I posted above.

Okay, tomorrow I'm packing up my TI to take it with me on vacation, now that portability is feasible with the TIPI/32K sidecar in the speech box.

I have CONNECT FOUR on the FG99 now as recommended by @HOME AUTOMATION, but nothing else so far.  As Number 5 used to say....

Considering a ten minute limit on my current game project.

HUSTLE is a game I've always liked.

I’d like to see a “Sleeper Classic” game of the month on your YN DOMs. You do seem to be knowledgeable enough to make such a classification. I mean, you’re not the best player but you do know your TI game library. ;)

Yeah, I’m a pretty lousy game player. I do have a pretty big library of games, though.

I'm not the best or most prolific game player either, but I want to try new things on this vacation that I've never done before so getting suggestions is the best way to go.
