I bought recently two RockPower Power Supply NT 20 EU 9V AC 4000mA for my 800 and floppy drives.

These are used for music instruments and you should find them in such stores.

Hi, Did you replace the plug by yourself or put a converter plug? ;)

I use a RockPower NT 8 9V AC/2100mA for 1050 disk drive which is also 9V AC.

I guess 2A is enough for a 800.

There are 2 versions: one with UK plug and one with EU plug.

I have found NT 21 with similar spec; not sure why it’s more expensive than NT 8 :)

I hope you did not buy the NT 21 right away because the part that plugs into the 800/810/1050 is too large.

The NT 21 is 2.5 mm and the NT 8 is 2.1 mm.
I don't think the NT 21 will work (or the connection will be loose).

You need the NT 8 not the NT 21.

Thanks a lot for your info! I was just planning to buy it as thought Atari needs 2.5mm :) NT 8 then :)

Rockpower NT 8 seems discontinued (several shops confirmed). I also checked the forum and there is a contradictory information regarding Atari 800 plug size 5.5x2.1mm vs 5.5x2.5mm - do you know which one in the end is the optional/original size?

We had some discussion in the ABBUC forums there -> http://www.abbuc.de/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=9240&hilit=netzteil+9v and there -> http://www.abbuc.de/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=9430&start=20

Don´t be shy and ask our specialst Erhard aka Floppydoc about this. Go to the Who is who (-> http://www.abbuc.de/abbuc/whoiswho) and click on "Kontaktformular" under the Text "Reparaturservice Floppies, XEP80" to reach out to him.

After a lot of feedback/emails/searches I have ended up with RockPower NT 21 Power Supply (9V AC/2100 mA 5.5 x 2.5mm), and it works great (including the plug). I have been looking for NT 8 everywhere in Europe, but its discontinued (confirmed by few dealers + distributor).

Hi, just to be absolutely sure. This is for an Atari 800 computer correct?
