gilsaluki
I wanted to play the original Broderbund disk version of DMM, the one that used the paddle controllers (not the joystick ver. on Atari's XE cart). I like the control the paddle buttons provide, and the apple bumper on the top looks cool (Atari replaced it with the Fuji on the cart ver.). The disk failed to load on my XEGS set up with 1050 drive but loaded fine on my stock 800 with an Indus GT drive. Who knows what that's all about? Anyway, I played 10 or so rounds and dutifully input my Initials on the Top Score screen. Today I fired it up again and had a good round. To my surprise my previous top scores from the previous night were still there on the screen. I have played this disk before and it NEVER recorded my top scores in the past. Weird. I had no idea it wrote to the disk.
AeroDD
I’ve not tried DMM, but did you try a translator disk with the XEGS setup? Maybe it requires the older OS to run properly.
