Stunt Cycle v. Dukes of Hazzard V2

It seems to me that Dukes is MUCH easier than Stunt Cycle. I cleared all 9 jumps with only 1 crash my first time out of the gate on Dukes, but usually top out at about 7 on Stunt Cycle with embarassing regularity.

 

Does anyone know if and why Dukes is so much easier? And are the game variations the same as in Stunt Cycle?

Don't know why it's easier, but that may be the reason I like that game more .
