Joysticks?

Recommended Posts

I found this auction.  Not interested in buying.  All is untested.  Joystick cord is torn.

But the joystick looks interesting.  Looks like a standard CX40 but has a button on top.  Never seen that before.  I know there is an attachment that slides on the stick.  But this one looks builtin.

Does anyone remember seeing something like that bitd?

It looks sloppy to me.

Zoom in on picture #5.

It looks like a piece of pipe/tubing glued over the stick with a button on it.

Possibly ran it down the centre of the hollow shaft then soldered it onto the button connections on the board or to the old one?

Cool I guess. Most joysticks, first party, are hollow, so I can see it. Maybe the original owner liked silk sticks "hat" button, but preferred the cx40 for comfort?

I asked if he would sell the stick separately like 10 or 15.  He replied plus shipping.  I said yes and then he said 20 dollars.  I said 20 is too much with a ripped cord even with shipping.  Plus I am curious how it looks inside.  Maybe if he tested he would get more since he has all the parts.  But instead he just lowered the price.  Anyhow he replied and asked what is fair.  I said 15.  Since then he never replied.  Greedy.  maybe if cord was not ripped but since it is its too much at 20.
