Here's a short video of all the levels of gameplay, enjoy!

Hoping I can see more levels on my own before watching this video, haha.

The jumping is getting me...and the falling. Can't believe there are 2,049er levels in this gahe. I got to level 3.

This is one of those games where I'm not as good as I used to be.  I could probably still beat the game, but it's going to take a lot of tries.  This is a game that DEMANDS perfection when you play.  If you can beat all the levels, you should be able to have about 34-36k before it sends you back to stage 1 again for another loop.  I'm back to regularly beating the first five levels without losing a life, sometimes six without losing a life, but I always screw up a few on 7 and 8.  The funny thing is it's not as hard as we make it look.  All about timing.

Friendly tip to those of you who aren't familiar with level 8's elevator:  press the 5 key to activate, then move it up or down.  When you're at the height you want to start moving again, press the jump button until Bounty Bob jumps, then you go ahead and move.

25,575 pts.  Ran out of time when I got the last set of cannonballs I needed for the third layer.  I started out too slowly on this level.  If I had another 7-10 seconds, I would've finished it and went on to the final level.

Level 9's always been my favorite.  The best I can do on the very first screen is 3,150 pts.

Just skimmed through your video moments ago.  I notice you and I have pretty much the same approach and decision-making on levels 6-8; difference is you're more decisive and do it much faster.  Impressive!  Until watching this video, it hadn't occurred to me that you could simply walk atop the platform of those mashers (level 9) to get the bottom row; I always rode that tiny little yellow moving platform and just made the jump when I knew it was close enough.  Ha!

Thank you, I  appreciate that. Miner is just an all around great original game. The box art, the simple but endearing graphics and the few various sounds that are in incorporated into game play. No need for music. The shuffling of Bob's feet as he moves about, eliminating the mutants or the mutants eliminating Bob and the warning sound of the next level are enough. This game is truly a masterpiece and is just as fun to play today as it was 37 years ago. I can't count the number of hours I spent playing it. The strive for perfection. Finally finishing a level and getting a brief momentary period of satisfaction, then onto the next level and perfecting it until all 11 levels are completed. There were no strategy guides, no Nintendo Power line to call, no Youtube, no Google back in 1983-84. This game along with others were LEARNING experiences. Trial and error. Endless resets. But the satisfaction of finishing this game is just priceless, it truly is. Of all the Colecovision releases this is probably my favorite. The only thing that I wish was in the game would be Bob's donkey appearing at the end of Level 11. That would have been cool.

Yeah, I'm not as good either. I have gone all the way through the game in the past, but I am struggling this time. I think this is one of those games I can play better with a real Coleco controller. So it's time to fire up the real machine.
