What to call these connectors?

For those of you who build stuff, what would you call these connectors?  I've wasted a bunch of time with the Digi-Key Web site, and just got frustrated.  When I used to install motherboards, these kinds of cables were used to connect the panel lights, reset button, etc.  I could use some of these connectors for various projects.

Didn't think of IDC; I thought those were what they used to call "ribbon cables" to connect hard disks and such.

 

I'll try "header" again.  Digi-Key's Web site frustrates the <beep> out of me, between pestering me about cookies every time I open a tab, and just plain being ornery.

Pay-Dirt!  I found the singles on Digi-Key.  Found these, then picked "mates with":

 

If you want to order some for your own projects, their part numbers are:

 

Single connector (the one on the left) is A25958CT-ND.

Also lately called dupont wire or connectors.  They are commonly seen in raspberry pi projects.  The female to male versions are good for connections from gpio header to a bread board.  Easy to find on ebay under that name.

IDC is the punch -through ribbon cable Connector. It “Displaces” the Insulation.  
 

at DirtyPcbs.com there is the DirtyCables service. You can use the GUI to choose any connectors and wires from common types.
 

For $10 I got their Connector sample kit to play with. It has about two dozen parts and variations. It helped me make sense out of “Molex” connectors (a brand name, not one connector!)

Like others said, you can get Dupont cables by the 100 for cheap, just to go eBay. Common things, like jumper wires, are expensive to buy from Mouser or Digikey. 

I still enjoy searching Mouser, looking for what things are called (maybe a little).

Go to DirtyCables and play with the GUI. Choose CRHO 2.54" crimp housing.

Just ordered a bunch of them, along with some other stuff, so I can install a USB keyboard adapter into my console.

 

I find Digi-Key pleasant to deal with, and I'm old-fashioned enough to appreciate that they still take phone orders.

 

Tried the Dirty Cables Web site, and it did not work with my browser, probably because I limit the scripts that run in my computer.
