How rare and expensive are the XEGS gray joysticks?

I really like the look of them, and I'd kind of like to pick up a few, but I'm dreading the answer.

Rather rare but not exceedingly. Vague answer because I don't know. A quick look on ebay I can find only two, and those are only included with XEGS.

An alternative with a similar color scheme is the Wico Boss Joystick, a fair number of which are currently available on eBay.

Or look through pages and pages and pages of 'atari joystick' listings and you may find some.

Several years ago I paid about $25 for one.  It works the same as the all black version.  Glad I got it however.

I got several of these from Brad at Best 15 or so years ago for $15 a piece.  I think he has raised the prices.  I like them better than Painline controllers, but not as well as an adapted Jag controller.

I've bought two XEGS new years ago.  One came wit the grey joystick, the other with the black one.  So not every XEGS (that came with a joystick) came with a grey joystick.

It took me ages to sell a XEGS CIB but for the joystick at rather less than I would have expected as I could not get hold of the original joystick, just to stumble over a ridiculously cheap VCS plus XEGS joystick combo a year later. I think they are rather rare and rarely come up alone.

It is nice but too rich for me..Good luck to the seller, selling stuff at the moment is hard...

Agreed! It's priced in Competition Pro territory and I know which I'd rather have (he says looking at a Competition Pro).
