Unholyplayer
Hello all! I just received my Atari Flashback vol. 3 (Pong). It comes with a pink hdmi stick and two paddles connected to each others. I was able to pair the paddles and start playing a game of Breakout. Unfortunately, I tried everything, but there is no sound. For me Atari is at least 50% made of those special noises and sounds the 2600 would make. Is it normal that it does not make any sound or is it just me? If there are supposed to be sounds any ideas of what I should try? Thank you very much!
+bcombee
When I was testing different TVs, I found some chipsets didn't handle the PCM audio format those sticks output. It's likely a TV issue that would be solved by plugging into a different set.
Unholyplayer
Thanks for the reply. Awe man really :((. It does not seem normal to me that they failed on such a basic level. It should include all TVs with HDMI, and if it does not, they should say so... If anybody have any idea I could try, let me know please. It's not the same without those memorable sound effects.
