ATARI 1040ST STASH

Recommended Posts

HI,

I've recently dug out my Atari 1040st with original monitor, box, a ton of games and software among other things.....anyone got an idea of how I can sell it to genuine collectors and roughly how much it might go for?

Cheers

Maybe someone in this forum might be interested, as for price, not really sure, I see some

go really cheap and others at silly prices.

Obviously it all depends on the complete package and the condition, maybe post some photo's

and of course which country you reside.

Is the monitor colour or monochrome?  And has the memory in the ST been upgraded or is it the stock 1MB configuration?  Since you haven't added any f, m, fm or e qualifiers I'm assuming it's an original model ST without an internal disk drive.  Is that correct?

Sorry, yes, its a colour monitor, and a 1040stfm, and I don't think its been upgraded...

Original ST colour monitors don't grow on trees and that's probably your most valuable item.  An STfm isn't as desirable as an STe but it's still got the internal floppy drive and has viable upgrade paths - it's a good set-up for a new ST user (assuming everything is in good condition and fully working).  The more pictures you can provide the better.

If you put it on eBay, I don't think you would be unreasonable to expect £200+.  I'd put that as a starting bid and the colour monitor should help you get a bit extra.
