Is this a thing Intellivision did, or did some kid just put these on there?

Looks like 1981 Topps Baseball stickers.  I know in Canada, hockey stickers were a new thing in the early 1980s.

Ok Thanks. I figured.  One more question please..  Is there any value differencebetween these two?

I don't think there is much value differences (a few bucks maybe) but usually the red box version has the original slow cartridge. Mattel later sped up the game play because of complaints the game was too easy.

Seeing these stickers of Cobra and Chet Lemon on an Intellivision Baseball box....how random for a Monday morning.

 

1981 was the year that EVERYTHING changed for us kids.  In addition to the traditional Topps baseball card set, they also put out these stickers and album.  This was also the same year that Donruss and Fleer produced their own baseball card sets.  As a 10-year old kid there were some hard decisions to be made on what to buy at the corner store.

They probably got this idea from Panini. The Soccer sticker albums have a long tradition here in Europe.
