Atari Matt #1 Posted August 16, 2020 So I came across what I assume is a Prototype of the Tigervision game Polaris. I can't seem to find any other Tigervision prototype cartridges like this to compare it. What exactly is it? What is a realistic value for something like it?
Jase #2 Posted August 17, 2020 Probably a cart sent out to reviewers in games magazines pre production, with the ROM being swappable for future games to be reviewed before release. Nice item!
+Psionic #3 Posted August 31, 2020 It's legit. That's the programmer's handwriting on the label and the date matches up as well. http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/polaris/21783.htm
cvga #4 Posted August 31, 2020 It's a sample cart so it's more than likely the finished game. Normally I'd say these go for $75-100 but values have risen and this is a fairly rare game so it will probably go for more (maybe much more) than that. This one is dated a day earlier so it's probably more or less the same as that one. The only way to find out is to plug in the cartridge and try it out.
