kevincondrick@gmail.com
I need a new bt9101 video encoder chip... I was trying to fix my 3do and I accidentally blown it.. I think if someone can test there's to see if there are 4 grounds in a row on the one side?..?? I just want to get this working again Edited August 18, 2020 by kevincondrick@gmail.com
kevincondrick@gmail.com
Well I ended up trying a different chip. The bt858 has the same pinout and it works. Known fact I replaced it and it worked fine
Taijigamer
That’s good to know. BT858 should be relatively easy to source. Another option would be to install @Citrus3000psi RGB mod and run it in BT9101 mode.
kevincondrick@gmail.com
What's the rbg mod do? Like dose it replace the chip or is it like a by pass?
Taijigamer
The RGB mod replaces the function of the original video encoder when in BT9101 mode. It also enables 240p mode on BT9101 3DO which was previously not supported. It would have been another solution to your problem.
kevincondrick@gmail.com
Oo do you know how much one would cost ?
Taijigamer
Here is the main info page with useful links https://www.black-dog.tech/3dorgb.html @citrus3000psi no longer makes the boards but has open sourced it so some resellers are making the boards and offering installs.
