Avenger75 #1 Posted August 20, 2020 (edited) I have been to a cash conversion store specialized in gaming today. They have lot of old gaming machine. I was surprised to find a 4 switch woody atari 2600 covered of dust inside the store. It was a loose console with no joystick nor power supply. I have looked at the bottom of the VCS (I live in France) and discovered the serial number was saying it was a CX-2600 S (so secam VCS) and that it was built in Sunnyvale ! I knew a few 4 switch woody 2600 for promotion purpose built in Sunnyvale existed, and there is a few post about them. But for me, most of the 4 switch woody console were made in Hong Kong and especially the first Secam machines. I have negotiated the price (as the 2600 was not tested) and bring it back to home. After testing it is indeed a Secam 2600, with a ugly RF output image, from chanel 5/6 with many parasite in the image. Have someone already seen other case of Secam 4 switch woody built in Sunnyvale ? Edited August 20, 2020 by Avenger75
Avenger75 #2 Posted August 20, 2020 (edited) After cleaning the entire PCB and connector with alcool, and switch to chanel 3 I have now a very nice image from the RF output : The image with the score having different color is typical of a Secam output. Looking at the switch bezel's border, it is yellow, instead of the orange color i have on my heavy sixer and my light sixer. Anyway I'm still surprised to find among the 4 switcher with a "Sunnyvale" sticker a CX-2600 S Secam... Edited August 20, 2020 by Avenger75
