This is what I plan to request:

Tomy Tutor, CC40, 99/2, 99/8, Cortex, 990 mini

Subforum for standalone non-4A systems with a 16 bit CPU belonging to the TMS99xxx processor family.

Following systems qualify:

  • Tomy Tutor, Pyuuta
  • Texas Instruments CC-40
  • Texas Instruments TI-99/2
  • Texas Instruments TI-99/8
  • Powertran Cortex
  • Range of 990 minicomputers
  • Breadboard computers with TMS99xxx CPU

I left the 9960 Geneve out as it needs the TI-99/4(A) Peripheral Expansion Box for hosting.

I really like the subforum structure suggested, but my two cents on the Geneve 9640, I would like to have e separated section for it too.

It is ok that will need a PEB to work but is also true that it is a complete different computer not a TI-99/4A, and it require dedicated settings and software.

all the other choices are perfect to my eyes.

Unlike most of the computers on the list, the Geneve runs ~95% of all TI software and uses much of the same peripheral hardware.  Geneve comments usually appear in TI-based threads with very few topics created solely for the Geneve software or hardware.  Since there are so few Geneve-only threads, it probably wouldn't matter one way or the other.

Ciro, I've decided to not include the Geneve 9640. I do see pro's and con's for a separate section.

But as all other systems qualify as real standalone systems, I'd like to keep it that way (at least for now).

I propose to see how this all evolves and decide at a later time.

First need to get the subforum created, request to Albert is on its way. ?
