decle
Hey all, My idea for the 2020 IntyBASIC competition needed some code to read and write ECS files on tape and scan the ECS keyboard. Having put something together, I thought it might be useful to others, so here it is with some minimal examples of how to use it: ecslibs.zip Hopefully the libraries are written generically enough that they might be useful to others. I believe everything should work on both JzIntv and real hardware. Credit where it is due, the core keyboard scanning routine is derived from @intvnut's work, documented here: And the tape handling was reverse engineered from the ECS emulation in JzIntv and some hardware fiddling. Thanks Joe. I've also included a simple single screen ECS editor as a slightly larger demo showing how the libraries can be integrated. You can see it in operation on real hardware here: Cheers decle
Zendocon
Perfect. This might help when I get ready to create expansion tapes for Melody Blaster. I also was going to put ECS keyboard support into a future game of mine.
+Lathe26
Nice work! BTW, I was curious what baud rate you used... so I downloaded the video and counted the number of video frames it took for "Hello World" to be displayed on the screen when loading the file. Looks like it is about 300 baud.
