doctor_x
I’m going to be putting an Atari site together that will basically just consist of a gridlist and I would like to use Atari fonts/Graphics to do it.. Is there an app for the PC that is taylor made to do this perhaps, or do I simply need to hunt down a font and save the items as graphics so the user gets it as well? There are ttf fonts emulating atari character set. The problem is how to deliver the font to the web viewers. I guess there is a mechanism. Google webfonts? Rybags
There's computer fonts as well as close matches for the futuristic one used on most packaging in the Warner era. The ones I have matching the packaging "SF Atarian" and variants.
cwc
A massive collection of Atari 8-bit fonts in PC True Type (TTF) format can be found on@Mr Robot's site here.
doctor_x
Like I was saying - I would likely just save the text as an image to present the same font to everyone regardless of whether or not it was installed rather than dick with people not seeing the expected font.... Thanks for the responses guys!
zzip
Is this a web site? You can embed custom TTF fonts in web pages: https://www.dummies.com/web-design-development/html5-and-css3/how-to-use-embedded-fonts-for-your-html5-and-css3-based-web-pages/

jamm
Definitely use web fonts and avoid using images for text. Not only are the images not text searchable, but they won’t scale well for different displays.
rossum
A working example of this (embedded atari web fonts) can be found here https://github.com/rossumur/esp_8_bit/blob/master/atr_image_explorer.htm cheers
