In the past, some people without an E/A cartridge or Extended BASIC cartridge were said to use the "utility" option to load E/A5 programs off of disk.  Now days with so many other options available and so many different and updated word processors, does anyone still use the TI-Writer cartridge?

I do not use the cartridge, but TI-Writer 80 column is used for every issue of Yesterday’s News for text editing.

I have the version in the Multi-Mod upgrade in my Super Extended Basic cart.  Also have the original binder stuffed away on a shelf.

Just haven't touch it in ages.  Mostly use the FunnelWeb editor on the TI.

FW for me too BITD. But I cut my teeth on Ti-Writer till I found FW version 3. I wrote a ton of newspaper articles, letters and other stuff on the TI for years, even after moving to Mac.

Got pretty good at using the TL transliteration codes for controlling formatting and the printer.
