liveinabin #1 Posted July 28, 2003 I'm getting a ZX Spectrum soon (you might know it as the Timex 2000) and I'm wondering, does everyone here with tape based systems still load the original tapes in or do you have backups? And, if so, on what medium. See, I was thinking of backing up to CD and loading from maybe a Discman. I haven't even tried crunching spectrum files into mp3 format - no idea if they'd work:) Just need some suggestions/ personal experiences/ advice. Cheers:)
slapdash #2 Posted August 5, 2003 I generally avoid tape media, with the exception of videotape machines. I'd say backups are a good idea, and I'd use the backups if I were you, just in case. In the case of the Spectrum, I know people have put CDRs of ROMs together before... You might check your favorite P2P app for MP3s, or check warez/ROMs sites for CD offers...
