TI BASIC/TI EXTENDED BASIC Games that are worth to be compiled...

Another game:

- Thruster: description, as usual on TI99IUC page (Thruster);

I've added an initial menu to calibrate the speed of the ship with various parameters, so you can decide the difficulty level for the game. For me the XB version is totally unplayable, so I've done some tuning in the compiled version. When @ti99iuc tested this first version, he was not able to play it, but on the contrary he was able to play the XB...

Now, with the parameters menu you can tune the sensibility of the ship and you should be able to find a setup that fits your preferences! ?

Game for Sunday:

- Forced Route: it's an interesting 2 players strategy/board game. It will be interesting to add an AI to the game... if someone would like to try this challenge... ?

Description and screens on TI99IUC page (Forced Route). The game was terribly slow for the board creation. Now it still takes few seconds, but it's acceptable.

This game was also suggested by @blackbox

A dungeon/RPG game ported from TRS-80:

Scepter of Kzirgla: read the description here (Scepter of Kzirgla);

The unofficial manual for TI99: TI99 Game Manual.

The original game has some bugs, now fixed in the compiled version. Have fun!

Not everyone has heard of Kuhl Software-      Bill Kuhl of Winona ME went on to become active on the internet, even managing to put a note about the TI on his blog- see

https://scienceguyorg.blogspot.com/2013/07/my-start-in-computers-and-software.html

The website scienceguy.org appears to be absent or hacked, but the blogspot.com site referenced above is still there but last active January 2020.

Ideas-inspire.com is also still there but looking abandoned.      bb

I'll check your version. The two that were compiled (in Italian and English) have some differences in the maze. If you like this game you should try Morphy, from the same author. Grog Maze should be the anchestor and not sure if it's 100% completed.

did you look at this version?

not yet, but it's in the queue, also because @ti99iuc has the original tapes from the author with various files. However, checking the differences requires time and there is no indication of what is the latest/good version...

Thanks! Now fixed in V1.1 in attachment. In addition to this problem, could you please confirm that the rest of the game is working fine?

I think the game logic is not quite right with the compiled version...

Could you elaborate? Is it just a "feeling" or there are evidences? It's impossible to do any debugging with so generic feedbacks!

Anyway, the code does not have any float math, any division that can introduce floats, no integers that can exceed the limits of the compiler, the RNDs are already compatible with floats limits. So, the game engine should not have been compromised by the compilation. The main effort on this code was done on the UI to add the appropriate delays for inputs, messages, etc. after the boost of speed added by the compiler.
