Jaxivision
Off-topic, but which Kool-Aid Man game was better, the Intellivision or the Atari 2600?

+Lathe26
The downside of quoting posts with photos is that the Kool-Aid man photo didn't but my eyes just once but instead 3 times.

carlsson
This animation both bobs the head and moves the hips. Here is a sprite sheet that supposedly contains all frames (but mirrored). Note that there is a second running man, almost identical except the head.
mr_me
The magenta one isn't quite right either with some of the pixels moving to the ninth pixel on the left. The sprites in these animations are from the nfl football cartridge. Each cartridge is different. The second set in that image might be from Night Stalker.
atari5200dude82
I like both versions of kool aid man. Both different and cool in there own way. About Mr. Blocky for the running man name. He is not always running. Maybe is sprinting or skipping or his pose. ?

mr_me
I looked at the gram data using the jzintv gramshot action. In seven of the eight frames, the hips are centred. The first frame in the image below has the hips forward one pixel. The head is forward for five frames and back one pixel for three frames. +nurmix
Good eye, Mr_me! When Tommy and I worked on the first version of the Intellivision Entertainment website back in 2018, I think we just grabbed a Running Man GIF from an Internet search and then Tommy made a blue version. I believe the one we are using now is based on that same original animation.I never noticed the differences until you pointed them out. We certainly want to be historically correct, so I will bring this up in the next meeting.. perhaps our Director of Animation (Mike Dietz, who I interview in the next episode [40] of the podcast) can make a new version.•Sent from my Intellivision keypad phone
+Cafeman
The Running Man should have a name starting with Mister. Or perhaps Dr. He's intelligent after all. And athletic. Mr. Plimpton? Or perhaps Mr. Robinson? Mr. Pixels? ehh, nobody will ever agree on a name.

Loafer
I've always thought he's not missing a mid-section, it's his fancy belt. When you don't see the belt, it's because his arm gets in the way?
