Clark Otodus #1 Posted September 23, 2020 Got a display cabinet from a garage sale (IKEA DETOLF) for only $10. I think it looks pretty good. Sadly the 800 didn't fit. Quite happy with my XEs all fitting though! (Will post more about some of these items in the future) ;-) 7
Mclaneinc #2 Posted September 23, 2020 Nice display there, any chance of pics of the rest of it, multi machine displays are just a thing of beauty.. And yes, the 800, the beast that it is is indeed hard to display Nice setup..

jhd #5 Posted September 23, 2020 That is an excellent way to display your collection. It would not look out of place in a museum.

Mclaneinc #7 Posted September 24, 2020 Hi Clark, what I meant was pics of your other retro stuff likes the snes etc, you look like you have quite a collection and folk like to see that sort of thing presented well. Was at IKEA in the UK last week waiting outside while my daughter picked up bedding stuff for uni, wish I'd gone in now...10 bucks...Total bargain..
Asure #8 Posted September 24, 2020 There's aftermarket LED lights to fit in the Detolf as well as an IKEA lamp set, these are very nice once put together. A bit flimsy to get them built, but once complete they're great!

StickJock #10 Posted September 24, 2020 Well, the OP did say that he got it at a garage sale.... Maybe do a CraigsList search in your local areas?
Gunstar #11 Posted September 24, 2020 (edited) A very nice display case! I was given an old horizontally oriented glass display case like in a shop, with a fluorescent light. I had to rebuild the base, and it has a crack in the glass on top, and needs the original glass shelving replaced still (I'm using left-over tongue-and-groove flooring right now) but it's better than nothing...and my first display case too. By the way, @Clark Otodus . I love the proto-type XE monitor! Edited September 24, 2020 by Gunstar

+Roydea6 #15 Posted September 26, 2020 It looks as the shelves are spaced very far apart. Need more shelves for more Atari goodness viewing.
AeroDD #16 Posted September 26, 2020 A display cabinet is a great idea. I’m gonna have to keep an eye out for something similar. Thank you for the idea.

LOL , that's the first thing I thought of also when I saw that monitor on top. I'm also nervous around tall brick buildings. 😬 Nice looking setup. Help keep the dog, cat hairs out.
