+TheBF
Yes I appear to be late to the party. Well it was fun for me to learn about it. Return to your regularly scheduled program...ming .
carlsson
Elsewhere it was discussed the possibility and probability to release new programs on vinyl, now that both the media and vintage computing are getting hip again. I mean they print new records of 40-50 year old albums and sell those at $20 a pop, plus a lot of current artists can't imagine anything more cool than getting their works on vinyl. Somewhere in there, it isn't unlikely someone will include data signals for an 8-bit computer program too, though I can't name any current project planning that. +OLD CS1
Spoken with a couple of grey-beard engineers about the rebirth of vinyl. Conversation boiled down to: sounds fun, but almost all recording at some stage is digital now so the output onto the record is not going to be like the old days.

They're gonna have to break back into the analog equipment if they're really going to get serious about making vinyl again.
