CaptainCanadian
Bump. I recall as a child going to pick up Double Dragon for the NES and finding out that it was only one player when I got it home... I will never forget my disappointment that day.. What genius came up with that? How did that decision ever make it through quality control? The whole point of double dragon was to coop... I wish I had known as a child, that Sega was the one to implement the two player.
doubledown
I would assume it was due to hardware limitations, but I can't say for certain. The SMS port was the much better version of the 2, until the Genesis version was released, and blew both the NES and SMS versions out of the water...albeit 5 years after the original arcade release. Probably just trying to get it out before the Christmas deadline, etc
